FAQ
Short answers about Protecta, the shop, the wallet, MCP, and the company.
About Nodo
Who operates Nodo? Nodo AI, Inc., based in Newark, Delaware, United States. It is registered as a Money Services Business with FinCEN. More on the company.
Is Nodo a bank? No. Nodo holds the money for a deal until delivery, but those funds are not a bank deposit.
Which devices does it run on? The web, iPhone, and desktop (Mac and Windows).
Protecta
How much does it cost? Creating a deal is free. The buyer pays 3% of the price and the seller 5% of the payout, each with a minimum of USD 5 or equivalent.
When does the seller get the money? When the buyer confirms receipt, or when Nodo decides a dispute in the seller’s favor.
What if the buyer doesn’t receive what they paid for? They can open a dispute from the deal. Nodo reviews the chat and receipts and decides. Where appropriate, the money goes back to the buyer.
Can I sell crypto with Protecta? Yes. Protecta holds the payment in fiat and the seller delivers the coins.
What cannot be sold? Weapons, drugs, stolen or counterfeit goods, and anything unlawful. The list is in section 11 of the Terms of Use.
Shop
Does the shop cost anything? No. The page, cart, and WhatsApp orders are free, with no monthly fee and no commission.
Does my customer need an account? No. They can view your page and send you the order on WhatsApp without signing up.
Wallet and P2P
Can Nodo access my USDC? No. Your wallet keys are not on Nodo, and the USDC in a P2P trade sits in a contract created for that trade.
Which network and currency does the wallet use? USDC on the Base network.
MCP
Which assistants can I connect? Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity Pro, and Cursor.
Can the assistant see my data? Only your business and your deals, and only after you authorize access. You can remove it at any time.
USD and EUR accounts
Can I open an account yet? Not yet. Virtual accounts in dollars and euros are in preparation. See Accounts.
