Where client money sits
- USD and EUR accounts. They are opened in the client's name through Bridge, our accounts partner, with regulated banking and payment partners. Nodo does not hold those balances.
- Buying USDC from the OTC desk. The client transfers from their bank into an account in their own name, and the desk delivers the USDC on Base once the deposit clears. Third-party payments are returned.
- USDC wallet. It is self-custodial: Nodo does not hold the keys.
The detail for each product is in Wallet and custody.
AML program
Nodo maintains an anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing program with written policies and a designated compliance officer. In short:
- Identity (KYC) or company (KYB) verification before an account opens or a USDC purchase under contract.
- Sanctions and politically exposed person (PEP) screening inside our providers' verification, with ongoing monitoring.
- Source of funds and signed declarations on every USDC purchase under contract.
- Human review of every verification, and a fresh check before every delivery.
- Review of unusual activity, and reporting to the authorities where the law requires it.
- Verification and transaction records kept for the legal period.
The detail is in AML, KYC, and verification.
Sanctions
Nodo complies with the sanctions of the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). It does not serve sanctioned persons or entities, or residents of countries under comprehensive U.S. sanctions. The list is in Prohibited activities.
How Nodo contacts you
Nodo only contacts clients by email, from an @nodoia.app address. Nodo never asks you by email for your keys or to send USDC to another wallet. If someone claims to be Nodo on another channel, do not follow their instructions and write to info@nodoia.app.
